Nikki Charalambous – Memories
Thanks to Adi and Bron, I have known Becs for the last 5 years and have gotten to know her really well over the last 2 years. She’s kind, caring, thoughtful, loads of fun and generally an all round gorgeous, fabulous superstar! We’ve had a lot of fun times and gotten up to all sorts of naughtiness.
She’s introduced me to Bikram Yoga, not sure if I entirely thank her for that seeing as it’s 1 and a half hours of sweat and pain, but it is a good way to counteract our big nights out! I have very fond memories of this New Years Eve, fun and games at the restaurant…….and then back at Bec and Dan’s flat where we quite literally had a momentous night thanks to Bec 😉 !!! She was also such a good friend that night (and at other times) and helped me get my head together about something really important to me …and then, of course, handed me a glass of champers and we carried on partying! Love you lots beautiful girl. xx

I first got to know Becs at BRKDWN france 2006. My favourite memory is of me and becs sitting by the pool sipping on cocktails as the sun set and a cool breeze wafted on by- it was the first time just me and her had had a good old natter! We were talking about how beautiful New Zealand was, how she met Dan, her job and I remember thinking how classy and cool she was. I have always had fun with Becs at parties, she is a ray of happiness! xx

I have had the pleasure of knowing Becs for a quite a few years now since she has been with young Daniel. I have so many memories of Becs, it’s a true blessing. I have partied with Becs in Miami 2 times, France many times, Bestival twice, Big Chill, 4/5 times, Southport Weekender twice, and never mind the hundreds of nights we have been out together in London. She has always been like a big sister to me! Always looking out for me, making sure I have everything I need and most importantly I am having maximum fun. She has always been there for me like a solid rock, especially when i didnt even know I needed it, and that’s something I love about her more than anything.
One other funny memory of Becs is when she started working at Net a Porter…she sent me a text message saying “we are having a staff sales thing and everything is 10-20% of the normal price” I read this message and somehow read “off” instead of “of” and replied, “thanks hun, but i still wont be able to afford it”. It was only a week later that we both realised what happened. She came home with bags and bags of shopping, loads of shoes, bags, clothes, really really nice things, all bought at ridiculously low prices, and that’s when the penny dropped!! DUH!! I am still quite upset about that and have never really got over how stupid I was…never mind!
And I will never forget Becs (and Dan) buying me my first pair of designer shoes for my 30th B day….it was so incredibly sweet! I love Becs more that anything in the world and consider her to the person I know I can ALWAYS rely on in the future. I call Dan and Bec my “mum and dad” (cos they are so grown up! well sometimes) and I truly love them like my own parents…although the best thing about them is that I can also party with them and they wont tell me off for being naughty!! 😉 Many many congratulations on your wedding hun, you two are the most gorgeous couple in the world!

She was always there for me when I moved to London in Sept. 2007. As she understood the feeling and ups and down you go through if you come from Europe, Switzerland more than even my boyfriend. She was always there for me introducing me to many beautiful things in life.

Life is short, break the rules, forgive quickly, kiss slowly, love truly and enjoy London with the good girls…….
TRULY, DEEPLY and above all STRAIGHT FROM THE HEART: the best wishes for another exciting side of the Citylife, as Frau Jourdan.

Darling! After 12 years with Martin, I have realized that the best time to ask your husband about some important life decisions is right after the fifth “TSs TSs” when he stops snoring for a while and instinctively turns to his side to avoid further snore-busting interaction….I wish you both very happy life! Lots of Love xx Beata
Michelle Van Vuuren – Memories
At Beata’s hen party in Brighton, Becsy and I got into a 4 hour conversation on life, love, everything and nothing. It was brilliant! I remember looking over at her at one point and, I confess I stopped listening to the brilliant prose Becs was giving and just thinking “what a marvellous person!” And I still feel like that whenever I see her.
What a beautiful soul!

Relationships take courage, trust, loyalty and a willingness to sacrifice for one another but don’t take yourselves too seriously. Love is the source of your personal power and remember the best is yet to come!

There are so many amazing memories I don’t know where to begin. Here’s some of the best…dancing our butts off in some club, on some dance floor, at some stupid hour, in some city (we truly were dancing queens!). Pottering around in our flat usually hung over, tired and hungry. Getting ready to go out on the weekend, blasting our music with wine and ciggie in hand. Tripping off to some city to see the sights, enjoy the food and culture…and the talent! We must have seen at least 10 countries together. We were great travel buddies, and got up to LOADS of mischief (hehe!!). But my best memory is simply the wonderful friendship that we have had over the last 10 or so years. We have shared so many fun and sad times together. Bec you truly are an angel and one of my best buddies!

Well, I’m probably not the best person to give advice on this since I’m still not married! However, when I am married (don’t laugh Bec, it might just happen one day!), I imagine that the key to a successful marriage is staying the best of friends, being open and honest with each other, being patient and tolerable…and last but not least, never ever let your sex life dry up! (well perhaps when you’re in your 70’s you can be forgiven).
Em Alldridge – Memories
This was a hard one as there are quite a few and they generally involve a good party!! My memory of Bec is how we met!! The first time I met Bec though was at one of the first edstock’s where I had just come back from a year in New Zealand, we started chatting and reminicised about New Zealand and both missed New Zealand. From that day (and night!) on we’ve been chatting ever since.

My funniest memory of me and Bec is being in absolute hysterics at Telecom while Bec and I explained how she nearly took the passenger car door off on a letterbox while reversing up a driveway. I have never laughed so much, I cried. Bec thought it was cold and asked the passenger to shut the window. However he wasnt even in the car yet and the door was wide open. Bec was concentrating on reversing and didnt notice. Hillarious at the time!! We also had so many great nights together getting ready in the flat drinking our divas before going into R’toto’s…..

My little piece of advice for a successful marriage is not to sweat the small stuff. Also its the little things that count, leaving little notes, text messages to let the person know you love them. After 10 years married to Troy, we still try and do this.
Gemma Boardman – Memories
My most memorable memory of Bec relates to when I first met Bec at the Lovebox weekender – after partying at the festival we ended up driving across London in my car and Bec & I became acquainted after a detailed discussion on Sarbanes Oxley whilst queuing to get into Egg…
Liked Bec instantly – intelligent & excellent fun to party with! J

If I was to be honest me and my sister Becky fought horribly as kids, I was always the annoying little sister. But as the younger years mellowed she became one of my biggest mentors. As a young adult she showed me ways to improve myself and become more confident. She encouraged me and believed in me. Most of all she has never stopped loving this annoying little sister who thinks the world of her. My sister is one of the most giving people I know.

My favourite memory of Bec is spending coming home rather drunk in the wee hours to our flat in Maida Vale and using the corridor as a catwalk to strut our stuff to the Scissor Sisters whilst taking photos of each other! And yes, we took the whole thing VERY seriously!

Marry someone who loves you as implicitly as you love them and then you’ll always be treated with respect, you’ll always look forward to seeing that person at the end of the day and you’ll have a best friend for life.
Nikki Croxford – Memories
I think Bex may remember this, but I think it sums up our childhood in the Bay of Islands. One Christmas holidays we decided to go camping with the horses and some friends on a coastal farm about 10 kms away. Spent the days swimming the horses from beach to beach, riding over the farm and cooking our own food. One night it got so cold we grabbed the covers off the horses to keep warm. We had a ball. As sisters I think we all know we’ll always be there for each other, Love Nikki

Sarina and Becs – Memories
Sarina and Becs
A little over 2 years ago, Becs was the gorgeous London based step-sister who stared out at us from a photo on the mantelpiece of Ros and Clinton’s place in Kerikeri, with her mysterious man in uniform! When her two boisterous step-brothers turned up fresh from New Zealand, she opened up her house to both without question (a touch of temporary insanity perhaps?) and with them their better halves also. Being in London and having a chance to spend time with Becs, what we have learnt about her can be summed up with the following; she’s not only gorgeous and stylish, but funny and generous also, she’s not much into cooking (although appreciated the roast chicken that was ready at 11pm that she doesn’t even eat herself!) but she has a great sense of fashion and makes us want to dress better, she loves drinking bubbles, she has an enormous capacity for change which does not seem to phase her (two major renovations in two years), she has loads of energy for life and is just good fun to be around.
In all the family pics that have been taken, she’s always behind the camera – so here is one with Dan with the lot of us.

I have so many wonderful memories over the 14 years that I’ve been Bec’s friend. Getting our belly buttons pierced, sharing our birthday celebrations and hundreds of mad, crazy nights. One memorable occasion was when Bec tried to play matchmaker for me in a club, so I could be as happy as she was with Dan. You should have seen the guy she enthusiastically pushed on to me, insisting I look beyond his sweaty, wasted facade. I recall his eyes rolling back in his head, a prince he was not! The thought behind it was lovely, the reality not so good 🙂
We’ve had some funny times and have laughed a lot, because that’s the sort of girl she is, funny, warm, generous and very caring. For all of these reasons and SO many more I’m delighted to call her my best friend in the whole world.
